Have been to Atlas a couple of times in the past month; the seem to have stepped up their game lately. Had beef brisket and baby back ribs. Brisket's been especially good the last two times. The chipotle potato salad needs a little more zing to it, but I like the idea of it. The place is noisy when it's busy, but that's the only real downside. However, if the weather permits, they do have outdoor seating.

We stopped in on a short work trip, based on reviews.  It was "ok" for the price.  On a Monday night there were very few people there and yet the Server messed up several aspects of the orders.  Nothing critical but it shows a lack of care.  I liked my BBQ chicken and the fries.  The potato salad was not very good.  While I appreciated the several styles of sauce, the bottles get messy very quickly from sauce spilling on the sides.

Atlas is not a place I would go out of my way to visit again.

I'm giving this a 3 because of our experience on Father's Day. If this was ONLY about that experience it would be a 1 but if it was only our previous experience it would be a 5.
When we went previously the food was amazing (brisket, sausage, potato salad and baked beans for my husband and pulled pork & Brussels sprouts for me while my daughter had my side of macaroni & cheese). Our waitress was good and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality when we arrived only 1 1/2 hrs before they closed.

However, Father's day was a different story all together. The host was a HORRIBLE JERK. It clearly states on their website that they do not take reservations for less than 8 people Sun-Thurs. The host told the couple in front of us that they changed that policy just for Father's Day and it would be over an hour wait. Well we hurriedly checked their Facebook and website-NOTHING about taking reservations for Father's Day. When confronted he said that they had signage around the restaurant for weeks. I stated that that's inappropriate and unprofessional and purposefully screwing over their customers. He said "well, that's not my decision, do you want to talk to a manager" clearly expecting me to say "no" buy I said that I'd Love to talk to a manager. Instead of getting the front of house manager he got the back of house manager. This manager seemed taken aback when I said that the host said that they were taking reservations for smaller parties and said he'd try to see what he could do. As I was talking to the manager my husband went on Yelp and got added to the wait list which said 11 minutes. When the front of house manager came over he tried to fix the mess the host had made (he turned away at least 5 other people that I heard while 3 tables sat open) and ended up calling my husband to tell him the time was off. Since we were standing in the waiting area as he called he was able to seat us with in 10minutes.
We were sat near the host table and continued to see open tables waiting for reservations that didn't show up for 30-45min as the host told people the wait was over an hour. It was ridiculous. We even saw a woman come in with her husband saying that she called a few days earlier and was told they weren't taking reservations. So, the host lied to multiple possible patrons and threw away thousands of dollars for the owners.

As for the food-I got the pulled pork again and it was great, I also got the brussel sprouts again and they weren't as good and I got the "Mexican corn" the flavor was awesome but the corn was undercooked so I couldn't get a the kernels off the cob. My daughter got the full kids meal. I added some pork into her Mac and cheese and she devoured it but didn't like the fries. The kids meal comes with a perfect size scoop of ice cream, not huge, not tiny. My husband got the ribs with fries and cole slaw. He thought the ribs were slightly underdone, wasn't a fan of the fries but really liked the coleslaw. He also got a piece of cornbread to share with our daughter and they both really liked it.

Overall I'd just say do NOT go when it's busy and beware an unprofessional and immature host who had no regard for the owners of the restaurant, their reputation or checkbook.

The food itself was "fine" brisket was a little dry (like it was stuck under a heat lamp while the rest of the food was prepared), the pulled pork was good but both good have used a little more seasoning without the aid of barbecue sauce.

All that being said the biggest issue is the speed and attentiveness of the service. This is at least the third time we've been here and EVERY time the service is very slow and I'm hard pressed to get any type or attention for refills or additional requests (like ketchup that we had to steal from the bar or drink refills which were never offered).

This place has promise and offers pretty good food for a little above reasonable price, but I don't know when I'll be back due to the speed and quality of service.

We came here on a Friday night looking to try something different.  Atlas BBQ really delivered a lovely experience.

Of note when we arrived was a pig roast going on a side roaster.  Yes sir, this place is the real deal.  As a bonus, they offered a buffet of all you can eat items.  What could be a more pleasing way to get your fill of good food on a family friendly friday night?  Good idea!

My friend is a burger only kind of guy, and he ordered the burger and fries which he said were delicious.  Feeling decadent, i tried the smoked beef brisket.  It was excellent, replete with a selection of homemade sauces right at the table.

We loved our visit here and will return!
